I had a mini vacation at Hotel Arts in late summer. Toque & Canoe arranged the visit in exchange for a few photos. The hotel has recently renovated it’s rooms and they are gorgeous. I loved my stay and my images have been snapped up by both the Hotel and the Interior Design Firm -which is an added bonus. The art direction narrative was “sexy”. Ken and I pulled out all the stops to do this Helmut Newton inspired image. I miss summer already.
My iphonography sessions have really taken off! Thank you to everyone who has booked. Every session is different and we always have so much fun! Lucky for me, the iphonography studio images caught the eye of Impossible Project genius @polaroidgirl , who thought my sessions might look even better as Polaroids. She has sent me The Impossible Instant Lab to try out and I love it! I’m not sure how I didn’t know about this but let me tell you, this magic machine is making my mind explode. How it works- YOU take a photo on your phone and the Instant Lab magically produces a real live Polaroid for you. It’s not a mere printer. No! The amazing Instant Lab takes a photo of your image and actually produces a Polaroid. I’ve been using the sx70 Impossible Film that they sent along and I have been happy with every single test image I tried. I’m excited to start offering a Polaroid print to my iphonography clients from each session so they can have a wonderful retro memory of our shoot. Bonus for me- Next week is roid week! A great flickr tradition that I can’t wait to participate in again! Watch for Polaroids all next week on my flickr and instagram streams! When you book your next iphonography session with me- mention this article and the first 5 clients to book will receive a free Polaroid with their iphonography session.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Impossible USA for this very appreciated gift!
