City Love, on the wall
Featured Image

I adore my city.  Calgary; #YYC; Cowtown.  Whatever you call her, she is one of the best in the world. When I’m offered a chance to show her off, I jump!

Recently I was contacted by Wallpapered and they showed me some of their awesome Google maps wall murals.  I’ve been wanting to use wallpaper in my house forever, but could never decide what was right or where to install.  I jumped at the chance and asked them to send me one to photograph.  I simply chose the area I was interested in, sent them a screen shot and measurements of my wall.  One week later, voila!  It was super easy to install (well according to my wallpaper lady) and I love it.  As you can see I chose an area of Downtown Calgary where the Bow and Elbow rivers intersect.  I can find my house easily near the middle and the print is super sharp and legible.

I like old school colors on my maps, but you can choose from multiple color palates.  I installed it in my guest bath/laundry room and I’m really happy how it looks.  I was stoked to receive my wall mural as a comp from but I think I would have gone ahead with it anyhow as the maps are quite reasonable.  The wall maps run about 45.00 US dollars per square meter.  So your standard wall would be about 337.00 US dollars.  If you have ever bought wallpaper or researched it, you can see the prices are right in line with many of our favorites.  They charge an additional 75.00 US dollars (approximate as it is in Euros) for the custom artwork.

What do you think?  I personally love it!  Calgary is Awesome, now I’m wearing her on my wall.

  1. So awesome! Looks great, Lori!

  2. This is awesome. Going to check it out for a client right now!

  3. I love your guest bathroom (as I do the rest of your house) and this is just the right icing on the cake. And what about all the steam and wetness in bathroom and wallpaper? I would like to use something similar in our pool hall.
… and please, excuse my English ..

  4. Love the wallpaper. Are you able to share where you got the floor tiles from? Thanks!
