Chocolate Avocado Nutella

Amazingly delicious, so simple, dairy free, GF, vegetarian and healthy

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados
1/4 cup cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Tbsp hazelnut butter
1 Tbsp hazelnuts

Directions:

1. Cut avocados in half and remove the seeds, scoop out avocado into a food processor. Process until smooth.
2. Add honey, cocoa powder, vanilla, nuts and nut butter. Process until smooth(ish)
3. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
4. Serve by itself as a pudding or spread on gluten free crackers/bread

  1. Honey isn’t vegan – otherwise looks like a good recipe :)

  2. Mmmmmm…bet it would taste even better frozen!

  3. I HAVE TO TRY THIS. Oh my goodness. I want it right now!

(Do you think I could do it with agave? Don’t see why not, right?)

  4. Marriage of two of my ab.fab. favorite things! Avacado and Nutella – can’t wait to try this! Thanks for posting.

  5. Honey isn’t vegan, but you could easily veganify by subbing with agave, like I did! Soooo delicious.

this is very interesting…i love chocolate and avocadoes!

  7. I’ll try making it with 1/4 c agave and report back with the findings of my “research”…

  8. This seems crazy!
Never thought of combining avocados with sweets…!
Wonder what who it ends up!

  9. *Wonder what ends up! (must’ve not being paying attention to my writing there :P )

  10. Real maple syrup might also be a good substitute for honey (maple syrup is vegan right?)
